Application

• Interior and exterior waterproofing and damp-proofing of concrete, cementitious rendering, brickwork and blockwork.

This is a rigid cementitious system. Do not treat its hairline-crack sealing use as suitability for moving cracks or movement joints.

How to Use

1. Prepare the substrate according to the current Sika Product Data Sheet and slightly pre-wet the surface before application.
2. Shake part A. Pour approximately half into a clean mixing container, then add part B slowly while mixing. Add the remainder of part A and mechanically mix for approximately 3 minutes until uniform and lump-free. Use a forced-action mixer or suitable drill mixing equipment.
3. For standard slurry application, mix A:B at 1:4 by weight without added water. Apply by stiff brush or suitable spray equipment, working the first coat in one direction.
4. Once the first coat has hardened, apply the second brush coat crosswise to the first. Keep within the specified layer thickness of 0.75–2mm.
5. For trowel-applied mortar, Sika specifies a 10% reduction in part A, approximately A:B 1:4.5 by weight. Apply the second coat once the first has hardened. For pores and blowholes, trowel tightly into the defects.
6. Apply at air and substrate temperatures of +8°C to +35°C. Plan placement around the approximate 30-minute pot life at +20°C.
7. Cure immediately after application for at least 3–5 days using polythene sheeting or a similar approved method to support cement hydration and minimise cracking.
8. If the interval between applications exceeds 24 hours, Sika specifies light blast-cleaning of the surface. Allow at least 7 days of cure before overcoating with the solvent-based primers or coatings referenced by Sika.
