Sikafloor-264 HC 2-Part Epoxy Floor Coating & Seal Coat
$245.00 USD
Sikafloor-264 HC 2-Part Epoxy Floor Coating & Seal Coat
A two-part coloured epoxy coating providing a hard-wearing, seamless, low-maintenance floor finish. Use it for a smooth gloss surface or as part of an aggregate-broadcast system for a slip-resistant finish.
Product Features
- Good chemical and mechanical resistance.
- Liquid-proof gloss finish.
- Easy application by roller or squeegee.
- Slip-resistant finishes possible with the appropriate aggregate grades and system design.
- Approximately 100% solids by mass and volume.
Specifications
- Brand: Sika
- Model: Sikafloor-264 HC
- Composition: Two-part epoxy
- Listed colour options: RAL7035, RAL7040 and RAL7045
- Part A: Coloured liquid resin; part B: Transparent liquid hardener
- Mixing ratio A:B: 79:21 by weight
- Density: Approximately 1.64 kg/L for A, 1.00 kg/L for B and 1.40 kg/L mixed
- Shelf life: 24 months from production
- Storage: Original unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions between +18°C and +30°C
Application
- Roller coating concrete and cement screeds subject to normal to medium-heavy wear.
- Storage and assembly halls, maintenance workshops, garages and loading ramps.
- Seal coats for broadcast systems in multistorey and underground car parks and maintenance hangars.
- Wet-process areas, including beverage and food-industry facilities, within the specified flooring system.
Direct UV exposure from sun, lamps or skylights may cause discolouration or colour deviation. Sika states this does not affect coating function and performance. A smooth gloss coating is not automatically slip-resistant; select the appropriate aggregate-based system.
How to Use
- Confirm the prepared substrate's moisture content, air humidity and dew point. Substrate moisture must be below 4% by weight with no rising moisture. If it exceeds 4%, assess the specified Sikafloor EpoCem temporary-moisture-barrier system.
- Apply at air and substrate temperatures of +10°C to +30°C and no more than 80% relative humidity. Keep the substrate and uncured floor at least 3°C above the dew point.
- Stir part A mechanically. Add all of part B at the specified 79:21 ratio by weight and mix for 3 minutes using a low-speed stirrer at 300–400 rpm. Transfer to a clean container and remix until consistent. Avoid overmixing and air entrainment.
- Prime with the specified Sikafloor-161 HC or Sikafloor-160 HC system to achieve a continuous, pore-free surface. Apply a second priming coat if necessary. Level rough surfaces first with an appropriate levelling mortar.
- Apply roller coatings crosswise with a short-pile roller. Apply seal coats with a squeegee followed by crosswise back-rolling. Follow the selected smooth, textured or broadcast system build-up.
- Observe the relevant primer-to-coating and coating-to-coating waiting windows before subsequent layers.
- Clean tools immediately with Thinner C. Hardened material requires mechanical removal.
- Remove floor spillages immediately and clean regularly with suitable equipment and detergents to maintain appearance.
