How to Use

1. Ensure the substrate is sound, clean and dry, with no dirt, grease, oil, old coatings, release agents, laitance or other adhesion-inhibiting material. Assess highly absorbent, unsound, contaminated or non-cement-based substrates and select the required preparation and suitable primer.
2. Mechanically prepare concrete to an open-textured surface. Remove weak material, expose voids and blowholes, and remove dust and loose particles by brush and/or vacuum. Fill voids with a suitable Sika pore-filling mortar and level roughness with a suitable rendering or levelling mortar.
3. Abrasive-blast steel to SSPC-SP 10 near-white metal or Sa 2½ according to ISO EN 12944-4. Prepare welds and joints according to EN 14879 Part 1. Remove dust, dirt and blasting residues. Sika recommends air conditioning to maintain conditions after blasting.
4. Apply at air and substrate temperatures of +8°C to +40°C, with relative humidity below 80%. Keep the substrate at least 3°C above the dew point and avoid condensation.
5. Stir part A mechanically. Add all of part B at the 3:1 ratio by weight and mix continuously for 3 minutes with a low-speed electrical stirrer at 300–400 rpm. Transfer into a clean container and stir again. Avoid air entrapment.
6. Apply by brush, roller or airless spray at approximately 0.30 kg/m² per layer, with approximately 0.2mm layer thickness. Work within the pot life and observe the minimum and maximum overcoating periods.
7. Allow the coating to cure for the intended service conditions. Clean tools immediately with Thinner C; cured material requires mechanical removal.

How to Use

1. Ensure the substrate is clean and sound. It may be dry or damp but must be free from standing water.
2. Remove dust, laitance, grease, curing compounds, impregnations, waxes, foreign particles and disintegrated material. Prepare concrete by sandblasting or another approved mechanical method. Prepare steel by sandblasting to the manufacturer's specified white-metal finish.
3. Pre-mix each component separately. Measure 2 parts component A to 1 part component B into a clean pail, by weight or volume.
4. Mix thoroughly for 3 minutes with a paddle and low-speed drill at 400–600 rpm until uniformly coloured. Mix only what can be used within the pot life.
5. Apply evenly to the prepared substrate. The existing listing specifies brush, roller or trowel application and placement of fresh concrete while the adhesive remains wet and tacky. Confirm the permitted placement window and detailed procedure in the current Product Data Sheet.
