Application

For bonding construction components made from concrete, masonry, reconstituted or cast stone, ceramic, wood, metal and glass, and for sealing vertical and horizontal joints. Substrate preparation and any required primers must follow Sika's instructions for the specific surface and application.

How to Use

1. Prepare a sound, clean and dry surface free from dirt, oil, grease, cement laitance, old sealant and poorly bonded coatings. Remove all dust and loose material.
2. Follow Sika's substrate-specific preparation instructions. For optimum adhesion and critical applications, porous substrates require Sika Primer-3 N with a waiting time greater than 30 minutes and less than 8 hours. PVC requires Sika Primer-215 with a waiting time greater than 15 minutes and less than 8 hours. Consult the Product Data Sheet for metals, glazed tiles and other surfaces.
3. For sealing, use closed-cell polyethylene backing rod as required by the joint design. Apply with a suitable dispensing gun, ensuring contact with the adhesion surfaces, and tool promptly.
4. Apply at ambient and substrate temperatures of +5°C to +40°C, with the substrate at least 3°C above the dew point.
5. Allow for approximately 70 minutes skinning time and a curing rate of approximately 3.5mm per 24 hours at +23°C and 50% relative humidity. Actual times depend on conditions.
6. Clean tools immediately with Sika Remover-208. Use Sika Cleaning Wipes-100 for skin cleaning. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.

What's in the Box

One 300ml cartridge of Sika Sikaflex-11 FC+ in the selected colour. Manufacturer carton packing is 12 cartridges per box; this is not the quantity included in an individual cartridge option. Dispensing gun, backing rod, primers and cleaners are not listed as included.

• Theoretical sealing yield per 300ml cartridge: 3m at 10 × 10mm; 1.6m at 15 × 12mm; 0.9m at 20 × 17mm; 0.6m at 25 × 20mm; 0.4m at 30 × 25mm. Actual consumption varies with the substrate and wastage.
• Contact Sika Technical Services to confirm resistance to specific chemicals.
• Store in original, unopened and undamaged packaging in dry conditions between +5°C and +25°C.
