A self-adhesive, rubber-modified bituminous sealing tape with an aluminium foil upper surface. Designed for sealing and repairing water ingress on roofs and other building elements, it provides a weatherproof repair with good adhesion to many substrates.

Application

For sealing and repairing water ingress on roofs and other building elements, including roof gutters, flashings, junctions and roof penetrations. Check substrate suitability and preparation requirements before applying.

How to Use

1. Prepare a dry, clean and sound substrate free from dust, grease and loose or poorly adhering material.
2. For optimum adhesion on non-porous substrates such as metal, plastic, coated surfaces and glazed tiles, clean and pre-treat with Sika Aktivator-205 using a clean towel. Allow more than 15 minutes and no more than 6 hours to flash off.
3. Prime porous substrates such as concrete, aerated concrete, cementitious plaster, mortar and brick with a suitable bituminous primer, such as SikaProof Membrane. Allow more than 1 hour to flash off.
4. Cut to the required length, remove the release liner and press firmly into place, avoiding trapped air. Follow the current Sika Product Data Sheet for overlaps and detailing.
5. Apply at ambient temperatures between +5°C and +45°C, at least 3°C above the dew point.
6. Clean tools with Sika Remover-208.

One 3m roll of Sika MultiSeal AP in the selected 10cm or 30cm width. Primers, activator, cleaner and application tools are not listed as included.
