Application Information
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Mixing Ratio | Part A : Part B = 3 : 1 (by weight) |
| Layer Thickness | ~0.2 mm per layer |
| Consumption | ~0.30 kg/m² per layer |
| Ambient Temperature | +8°C min / +40°C max |
| Substrate Temperature | +8°C min / +40°C max (min. 3°C above dew point) |
| Relative Humidity | <80% |
Application Steps
- Substrate Preparation – Concrete: Prepare mechanically to achieve an open-textured surface. Remove weak areas, expose blowholes and voids. Remove all dust and loose material by brush and/or vacuum. Fill open voids with a suitable Sika® pore filling mortar. Level surface roughness with a suitable Sika® rendering and levelling mortar. Use a suitable primer on high-absorbent, non-sound, or non-cement-based substrates.
- Substrate Preparation – Steel: Abrasive blast clean to SSPC-SP 10 “near white metal” or Sa 2½ (ISO EN 12944-4). Prepare welds and joints per EN 14879 Part 1. Remove all dust, dirt, and blasting material. Use air-conditioning to maintain surface conditions after blast cleaning.
- Mixing: Stir Part A mechanically before use. Add all of Part B to Part A and mix continuously for 3 minutes using a low-speed stirrer (300–400 rpm) to avoid air entrapment. Pour into a clean container and stir again to ensure thorough mixing. Use only within the pot life.
- Application: Apply by brush, roller, or airless spray at ~0.30 kg/m² per layer (~0.2 mm DFT). Apply multiple coats as required within the overcoating window.
- Cleaning: Clean all tools immediately with Thinner C. Hardened/cured material can only be removed mechanically.

Application Information

|---|---|
| Mixing Ratio | ~3.25 L water per 25 kg bag (~0.13 L / 1 kg powder) |

| Layer Thickness | 5 mm min / 40 mm max |
| Ambient Temperature | +5°C min / +35°C max |
| Pot Life at +30°C | 25 minutes |
Application Steps
- Substrate Preparation: Substrate must be sound and free of loose or weak particles, dust, and dirt. Completely remove oil, wax, laitance, and poorly bonded coatings. For optimum bond, roughen the surface well.
- Mixing: Pour the required quantity of clean water into the mixing container. Add powder while mixing continuously using a low-speed electric mixer (max. 500 rpm) for 3 minutes, avoiding air entrapment. Add powder in portions to achieve the desired consistency. Do not add extra water after mixing.
- Application: Apply with a spatula or trowel onto a well-saturated concrete substrate. For thickness greater than 40 mm, apply in several layers. Once the mortar starts to set, smooth with a wooden or synthetic float or a styrofoam block.
- Bonding Coat: For large area applications, apply SikaTop 121 as a bonding coat before applying Sika MonoTop®-613 IND for optimum adhesion.
- Curing: Keep mortar moist if exposed to strong sunshine or wind to prevent premature drying. Standard curing methods are recommended. For a very fine surface finish, apply SikaTop 121 as a filling compound on top after curing.
- Cleaning: Clean tools and mixing equipment with water while material is still fresh. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.

| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Ambient Temperature | +5°C min / +35°C max |
| Substrate Temperature | +5°C min / +35°C max |
| Relative Humidity | Max. 100% |
Consumption
- 0.15–0.25 L/m² per coat (4–7 m²/L) on power-trowelled concrete
- A second coat is required on porous, rough-textured, or brush-finished surfaces
Application Steps
- Substrate – Fresh Concrete (≥7 days): Finish using power floating, manual floating, or tamping. Cure for at least 7 days with water spray, blankets, or plastic sheets.
- Substrate – Hardened/Old Concrete: Clean with high-pressure water cleaner. Allow to dry completely. Remove all dust, dirt, and loose material with brush or vacuum.
- Important – Remove Existing Treatments: Completely remove any curing agents, membrane-forming sealers, or asphalt before application.
- Application: Apply in a continuous film using a high-volume, low-pressure spray unit. Do not use sprayers previously used for silicones or release agents. Touch up any dry spots immediately.
- Scrubbing: Scrub material into the surface with a soft bristle broom or floor-scrubbing machine for minimum 30 minutes until the material begins to gel and becomes slippery.
- Reworking: Wet the surface slightly with water spray and rework for another 10–20 minutes.
- Removal of Excess: After ~20 minutes when material returns to a gel, rinse the floor and remove excess with a squeegee, wet vacuum, or mop. Dried residue leaves white stains removable only mechanically.
- Second Coat: Apply on porous or rough surfaces after the first coat is dry and tack-free.
- Before Subsequent Coating: After cure, abrade the surface mechanically (light to heavy shot blasting) before applying any subsequent coating system.
- Hot Weather (>+25°C): Store product in a cool place. Apply additional material to keep surface wet during scrubbing.
- Moisture Protection: Protect treated surface from moisture for at least 3 days after application to prevent efflorescence.
