Application

For general concrete repair and refurbishment, including honeycombed, damaged and spalled concrete on vertical areas affected by reinforcement corrosion. The existing listing describes use with Sika MonoTop-610 as a bonding primer and reinforcement corrosion-protection component. Confirm the required system components against the current Sika instructions.

How to Use

1. Prepare a sound, roughened substrate free from loose particles, dust, dirt, oil, wax, laitance and poorly bonded coatings.
2. Pour the required clean water into a mixing container. Add powder gradually while mixing with a low-speed electric mixer at a maximum of 500rpm for approximately 3 minutes, avoiding air entrapment. Do not add extra water after mixing.
3. Apply with a spatula or trowel onto well-saturated concrete. For vertical thicknesses greater than 40mm, use several layers following Sika's instructions.
4. As the mortar starts to set, finish with a wooden or synthetic float or a styrofoam block.
5. Protect from premature drying in strong sunshine or wind and use suitable curing methods.
6. Clean tools with water while material is fresh. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.

The existing listing also mentions SikaTop 121 as a bonding coat for large areas and as a fine finishing compound. Verify compatibility and the specified repair system in the current Sika Product Data Sheet before use.
