$88.00 USD
Sikadur-732 2-Part Epoxy Resin Bonding Agent 5kg
A solvent-free, thixotropic, two-component structural epoxy resin adhesive for bonding fresh concrete to hardened concrete and steel. Its high early and final strength supports structural bonding across a range of construction materials.
Product Features
- High-strength bonding and excellent adhesion to most structural materials.
- High early and final strength.
- Solvent-free epoxy formulation.
- Thixotropic consistency.
- Highly effective on dry surfaces; the manufacturer's preparation guidance also permits damp surfaces without standing water.
Specifications
- Brand: Sika
- Model: Sikadur-732
- Type: Two-component epoxy resin bonding agent
- Packaging: 5kg set, components A and B
- Mixed colour: Concrete grey
- Density: Approximately 1.45 kg/L
- Mixing ratio A:B: 2:1 by weight or volume
- Pot life: 35 minutes at +30°C
- Shelf life: 24 months from production
- Storage: Original unopened, sealed and undamaged packaging in dry conditions between +15°C and +30°C, protected from direct sunlight.
Application
- Bonding fresh, plastic concrete to hardened concrete and steel.
- Grouting bolts, dowels and pins.
- Structural bonding of concrete, masonry, metal and wood.
Confirm project-specific preparation, bonding, grouting and loading requirements against the current Product Data Sheet before use.
How to Use
- Ensure the substrate is clean and sound. It may be dry or damp but must be free from standing water.
- Remove dust, laitance, grease, curing compounds, impregnations, waxes, foreign particles and disintegrated material. Prepare concrete by sandblasting or another approved mechanical method. Prepare steel by sandblasting to the manufacturer's specified white-metal finish.
- Pre-mix each component separately. Measure 2 parts component A to 1 part component B into a clean pail, by weight or volume.
- Mix thoroughly for 3 minutes with a paddle and low-speed drill at 400–600 rpm until uniformly coloured. Mix only what can be used within the pot life.
- Apply evenly to the prepared substrate. The existing listing specifies brush, roller or trowel application and placement of fresh concrete while the adhesive remains wet and tacky. Confirm the permitted placement window and detailed procedure in the current Product Data Sheet.
- Do not exceed the pot life or add solvents or thinners. Follow the applicable manufacturer instructions for grouting and protection during curing.
What's in the Box
One 5kg Sikadur-732 set containing component A and component B. Mixing equipment and application tools are not listed as included.
Technical Information
- Consumption: Approximately 0.3–0.8 kg/m² depending on substrate condition.
- Compressive strength: Approximately 60 N/mm² after 7 days and 63 N/mm² after 28 days.
- Flexural tensile strength: Approximately 39 N/mm² after 28 days.
- Tensile adhesion to mechanically prepared K400 concrete: Approximately 2 N/mm² after 28 days, with concrete failure.
- Tensile adhesion to steel blast-cleaned to SA 2½: Approximately 12 N/mm² after 28 days. This identifies the surface condition of the adhesion test.
- Coefficient of thermal expansion: 50 × 10⁻⁶ per °C over −20°C to +40°C. This test interval is not a general application- or service-temperature rating.
