Application

Use for grouting only. Select the appropriate consistency: pourable for baseplates; flowable or pourable for poured formwork repairs; flowable for pre-packed grouting; stiff for anchor bolts and special applications such as starter-bar anchoring.

How to Use

1. Prepare the grouting area and formwork for the intended application. Secure formwork firmly and keep it watertight. Organise the work to maintain continuous, uninterrupted grout flow.
2. Measure clean water for each 25kg bag: 3.75–4.0L for flowable consistency, 3.5–4.0L for pourable consistency or 3.0–3.4L for stiff consistency.
3. Place 70–80% of the measured water in a clean container. Gradually add the whole bag while continuously mixing. Add the remaining measured water and mix for 2–3 minutes with a slow-speed drill and paddle at approximately 500 rpm.
4. For large quantities, use a forced-action rotating-pan, paddle or trough mixer. Do not use free-fall mixers for the standard grout mix.
5. Stir lightly with a spatula for a few seconds to release trapped air, then pour immediately into prepared formwork. Maintain sufficient pressure head beneath baseplates and continuous flow across large areas.
6. For pumping, Sika lists heavy-duty diaphragm, screw-feed or piston pumps. Provide breather holes where needed to release trapped air; steel rods or chains may be used to assist grout flow.
7. For sections thicker than 50mm, follow Sika's aggregate-extension guidance using graded, silt-free 10mm aggregate, not exceeding 1 part aggregate to 1 part grout by weight. Sika permits conventional concrete mixers and pumps for these extended mixes. Confirm the project-specific mix and placement requirements.
8. For formwork repairs, leave formwork in place for at least 3 days. After removal, immediately cure exposed surfaces with Antisol-E or another approved curing method.
9. Clean tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened material requires mechanical removal.
