Application Steps

Substrate Preparation – Concrete: Prepare mechanically to achieve an open-textured surface. Remove weak areas, expose blowholes and voids. Remove all dust and loose material by brush and/or vacuum. Fill open voids with a suitable Sika® pore filling mortar. Level surface roughness with a suitable Sika® rendering and levelling mortar. Use a suitable primer on high-absorbent, non-sound, or non-cement-based substrates.
Substrate Preparation – Steel: Abrasive blast clean to SSPC-SP 10 “near white metal” or Sa 2½ (ISO EN 12944-4). Prepare welds and joints per EN 14879 Part 1. Remove all dust, dirt, and blasting material. Use air-conditioning to maintain surface conditions after blast cleaning.
Mixing: Stir Part A mechanically before use. Add all of Part B to Part A and mix continuously for 3 minutes using a low-speed stirrer (300–400 rpm) to avoid air entrapment. Pour into a clean container and stir again to ensure thorough mixing. Use only within the pot life.
Application: Apply by brush, roller, or airless spray at ~0.30 kg/m² per layer (~0.2 mm DFT). Apply multiple coats as required within the overcoating window.
Cleaning: Clean all tools immediately with Thinner C. Hardened/cured material can only be removed mechanically.

Application Steps

Substrate Preparation: Surface must be clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, grease, oil, and loose particles. Remove any old sealant residues or poorly adhering coatings. For best results on porous substrates, ensure the surface is sound and firm.
Cutting: Cut the tape to the required length using scissors or a sharp knife.
Application: Peel back the release liner from the underside of the tape. Press the tape firmly onto the substrate, starting from one end and working progressively to avoid air bubbles. Apply firm hand pressure or use a roller to ensure full contact and adhesion.
Overlaps: Where overlapping is required, overlap by a minimum of 50 mm. Press overlaps firmly to ensure a watertight seal.
Overpainting: The tape can be over-painted with most conventional paint systems once applied.
Low Temperature Application: At low temperatures, warm the tape slightly before application to improve flexibility and adhesion.

Application Steps

Substrate Preparation: Surface must be clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, grease, oil, and loose particles. Ensure tile joints are sound and free from old sealant residues.
Application: Apply Sikagard®-703 GroutSeal using a low-pressure spray gun, brush, or roller in a single layer from top to bottom. Take care not to let the product run or pool on the surface.
Protection: Protect the treated surface from rain for at least 3 hours at +20°C after application.
Overcoating: Can be overcoated with water or solvent-based polymer paints – contact the paint manufacturer for compatibility details. For Sikagard® polymer paint, wait at least 5 hours before applying.
Cleaning: Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened or cured material can only be removed mechanically.
