Consumption

  • 0.15–0.25 L/m² per coat (4–7 m²/L) on power-trowelled concrete
  • A second coat is required on porous, rough-textured, or brush-finished surfaces

Application Steps

  • Substrate – Fresh Concrete (≥7 days): Finish using power floating, manual floating, or tamping. Cure for at least 7 days with water spray, blankets, or plastic sheets.
  • Substrate – Hardened/Old Concrete: Clean with high-pressure water cleaner. Allow to dry completely. Remove all dust, dirt, and loose material with brush or vacuum.
  • Important – Remove Existing Treatments: Completely remove any curing agents, membrane-forming sealers, or asphalt before application.
  • Application: Apply in a continuous film using a high-volume, low-pressure spray unit. Do not use sprayers previously used for silicones or release agents. Touch up any dry spots immediately.
  • Scrubbing: Scrub material into the surface with a soft bristle broom or floor-scrubbing machine for minimum 30 minutes until the material begins to gel and becomes slippery.
  • Reworking: Wet the surface slightly with water spray and rework for another 10–20 minutes.
  • Removal of Excess: After ~20 minutes when material returns to a gel, rinse the floor and remove excess with a squeegee, wet vacuum, or mop. Dried residue leaves white stains removable only mechanically.
  • Second Coat: Apply on porous or rough surfaces after the first coat is dry and tack-free.
  • Before Subsequent Coating: After cure, abrade the surface mechanically (light to heavy shot blasting) before applying any subsequent coating system.
  • Hot Weather (>+25°C): Store product in a cool place. Apply additional material to keep surface wet during scrubbing.
  • Moisture Protection: Protect treated surface from moisture for at least 3 days after application to prevent efflorescence.
