Consumption
- Coverage: ~5.6–6.4 m² per 20 kg bag (based on 2 mm mortar thickness)
- Dependent on substrate profile, tile size, joint width, and application technique
- For tiles larger than 30×30 cm, buttering the back of the tile is recommended
Application Steps
- Substrate Preparation: Surface must be clean, sound, level, and free of oil or grease. Remove laitance and loose particles by sandblasting or high-pressure water jetting. Pre-wet absorbent substrates to saturated surface dry condition.
- Mixing: Add powder to ~4.0–4.6 L of clean water. Mix with a handheld or mechanical mixer for 3–5 minutes until a homogeneous, lump-free paste is achieved. Allow to stand 1–2 minutes, then re-mix for 1 minute before use.
- Application: Apply with a notched trowel onto the substrate and butter the back of the tile for better coverage. For tiles with deep grooves, ensure full coverage in the grooves. Press tiles firmly and tamp into position. Adjust within 20 minutes of application.
- Cleaning: Clean tools with water before material hardens. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
