Consumption

  • 500 ml can → ~25 L expanded foam
  • 750 ml can → ~38 L expanded foam
  • 850 ml can → ~45 L expanded foam
  • Consumption can be regulated by adjusting pressure on the valve

Application Steps

  • Substrate Preparation: Surface must be clean, sound, and free from oils, grease, dust, and loose particles. Remove paint, cement laitance, and poorly adhering contaminants. No primer or activator required. Pre-dampen the substrate with a mist spray of clean water to ensure proper curing and prevent secondary foam expansion.
  • Application: Shake can well before use. Attach nozzle and apply foam into the joint or gap, filling to approximately 50% of the void depth as the foam will expand. Apply in all positions including overhead. Adjust pressure on the valve to control output.
  • Cutting & Finishing: Allow ~30–60 minutes before cutting. Once cured, the foam can be cut, sanded, and over-painted.
  • Cleaning: Clean tools immediately with Sika Boom® Cleaner and/or Sika® Remover-208. Cured residual material can only be removed mechanically.
