Application Information
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Ambient Temperature | +5°C min / +40°C max |
| Relative Humidity | Max. 80% r.h. |

Consumption
- Standard system: ~1.5 kg/m² total (primer + 2 coats)
- Reinforced system: ~2.0 kg/m² total (primer + 3 coats + Reemat reinforcement)
- In hot/dry conditions (>40°C, ~50% r.h.), reduce to max. 0.5 kg/m² per coat or apply when temperature is below 35°C
- Figures are theoretical and exclude allowances for surface porosity, profile, and wastage
Application Steps
- Substrate Preparation: New concrete must be cured min. 28 days with pull-off strength ≥1.5 N/mm². Surface must be dry (<6% moisture), mechanically prepared to open texture, free from standing water, oil, grease, coatings, laitance, and loose material. Remove all existing membranes by industrial vacuuming. Repair blowholes and voids fully.
- Mixing: Mix Sikalastic®-110 manually or with a low-speed mixer until completely homogeneous before application.
- Standard Coating System: Dilute with 1 part clean water for primer coat (~0.2 kg/m²). Apply by short hair wool roller, brush, or airless spray. Allow to dry, then apply 2 coats of undiluted Sikalastic®-110 (~0.65 kg/m² each), ensuring each coat is completely dry before the next. Allow full system to cure 48 hours before screed overlay.
- Reinforced Coating System: Apply primer as above. Apply 1st coat (~0.8 kg/m²) and embed Sika® Reemat Premium-120 into the wet coating. Roll to remove bubbles and creases. Overlap edges min. 50 mm, borders min. 100 mm. Apply 2nd and 3rd coats (~0.5 kg/m² each). Allow 48 hours before screed overlay.
- Cleaning: Clean all tools with water immediately after use. Hardened/cured material can only be removed mechanically.

Application Steps
- Substrate Preparation – Concrete: Prepare mechanically to achieve an open-textured surface. Remove weak areas, expose blowholes and voids. Remove all dust and loose material by brush and/or vacuum. Fill open voids with a suitable Sika® pore filling mortar. Level surface roughness with a suitable Sika® rendering and levelling mortar. Use a suitable primer on high-absorbent, non-sound, or non-cement-based substrates.
- Substrate Preparation – Steel: Abrasive blast clean to SSPC-SP 10 “near white metal” or Sa 2½ (ISO EN 12944-4). Prepare welds and joints per EN 14879 Part 1. Remove all dust, dirt, and blasting material. Use air-conditioning to maintain surface conditions after blast cleaning.
- Mixing: Stir Part A mechanically before use. Add all of Part B to Part A and mix continuously for 3 minutes using a low-speed stirrer (300–400 rpm) to avoid air entrapment. Pour into a clean container and stir again to ensure thorough mixing. Use only within the pot life.
- Application: Apply by brush, roller, or airless spray at ~0.30 kg/m² per layer (~0.2 mm DFT). Apply multiple coats as required within the overcoating window.
- Cleaning: Clean all tools immediately with Thinner C. Hardened/cured material can only be removed mechanically.
