Application Steps
- Substrate Preparation: Surface must be clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, grease, oil, and loose particles. Remove any old sealant residues or poorly adhering coatings. For best results on porous substrates, ensure the surface is sound and firm.
- Cutting: Cut the tape to the required length using scissors or a sharp knife.
- Application: Peel back the release liner from the underside of the tape. Press the tape firmly onto the substrate, starting from one end and working progressively to avoid air bubbles. Apply firm hand pressure or use a roller to ensure full contact and adhesion.
- Overlaps: Where overlapping is required, overlap by a minimum of 50 mm. Press overlaps firmly to ensure a watertight seal.
- Overpainting: The tape can be over-painted with most conventional paint systems once applied.
- Low Temperature Application: At low temperatures, warm the tape slightly before application to improve flexibility and adhesion.
